Wind chimes were used inside homes in China, in ancient times, because they were flimsy houses and the wind could blow through them, creating sound which moves Chi... ENERGY. Moving metal is a cure we use in Classical Feng Shui to remedy a difficult energy pattern called 2/5. Unfortunately, many books and schools recommend wind chimes inside houses... this is due to lack of understanding the original intention behind its use. Aside from this, a dangling wind chime or flute inside a home is the antithesis of good Feng Shui... an environment of harmony, grace, balance and aesthetic beauty.
